In his welcoming remarks, Poltek Kelapa Sawit CWE Director Nugroho Kristono reminded students—who hail from 25 provinces across Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua—that they carry high hopes from their families and communities.
“You have been entrusted by your parents who sent you from your hometowns. Their love, trust, and expectations now rest on your shoulders,” Nugroho said, as quoted by beige-heron-208544.hostingersite.com on Thursday (September 11, 2025).
This year’s MPOMB carried the theme “Young Palm Oil Generation: Excellent, Innovative, and Sustainable.” Rufinusta Sinuraya, Vice Director III for Student Affairs, expressed hopes that the program will inspire students to innovate and champion sustainability within the palm oil industry, while ultimately contributing to Indonesia’s Golden Vision 2045.
As part of the orientation, students will also undergo basic discipline and leadership training (Latsar) at Pusdikintel, Bogor, West Java. The training covers discipline, physical and mental resilience, and basic civic and defense education.
Established in 2006, Poltek Kelapa Sawit CWE celebrates its 19th anniversary this year. Approaching two decades of service, the institution—widely recognized as a leading higher education center for palm oil studies—remains committed to producing a new generation ready to compete in the palm oil and modern agriculture industries.
