PALMOILMAGAZINE, PANGKALAN BUN – The Kotawaringin Barat (Kobar) Regency Government continues to advance sustainable palm oil governance. On Monday, the Kobar Agriculture Office, in collaboration with PT Sawit Center Indonesia, held a training program on Internal Control System (ICS) Audit Techniques for the Indonesia Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certification at the Mercure Hotel, Pangkalan Bun.
The training, which runs until October 10, 2025, involves 20 participants, including smallholder palm growers and ICS team members from 10 villages across 5 subdistricts in Kobar. The program aims to enhance participants’ understanding of internal audit techniques and ensure effective and comprehensive ISPO implementation at the village level.
Director of PT Sawit Center Indonesia, Sri Gunawan, expressed appreciation for the strong collaboration with the Kobar Agriculture Office.

Meanwhile, Head of the Kobar Agriculture Office, Kris Budi Hastuti, emphasized that ISPO implementation is a national mandate regulated under Presidential Regulation No. 44 of 2020 and Presidential Regulation No. 16 of 2025.
“Participants are expected to complete all training sessions, including field visits to farmer institutions that have already obtained ISPO certification,” she said.
Kris Budi further noted that this activity reflects the local government’s commitment to accelerating ISPO certification, particularly for independent smallholders, whose capacity-building initiatives are funded through the Palm Oil Profit Sharing Fund (DBH Sawit). Through continuous training and mentoring programs, the Kobar Agriculture Office aims to help local smallholders become more advanced, self-reliant, and prosperous.
