PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA — The Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP) continues to broaden its collaboration with various stakeholders by participating in the Indonesia Research and Innovation (InaRI) Expo 2025, organized by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran from October 28–30, 2025.

For BPDP, this participation goes beyond a routine exhibition — it represents a strategic effort to bridge the gap between the research community and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) operating in the plantation sector. The initiative aligns with BPDP’s mission to strengthen applied research ecosystems and accelerate the downstream development of innovation at the business level.

“We have reached various segments of society — from early childhood education to journalists and SMEs. Through InaRI Expo, we aim to open new collaborations with researchers who can contribute to advancing research and innovation in the plantation sector,” Helmi said in a statement received by beige-heron-208544.hostingersite.com on Saturday (Nov 1, 2025).

At the exhibition, BPDP showcased several research outputs funded through its Palm Oil Research Grant Program, including Radar Sawit ITS (RAWITS) by students of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) and PALMA X-1 from the University of Pancasila. The agency also featured various SME products derived from palm oil, coconut, and cocoa — highlighting the tangible economic contributions of plantation-based industries.

Helmi noted that the event served as a key opportunity to disseminate palm oil research findings while promoting innovative SME products to a broader audience.

“We hope to gain valuable insights from researchers to help SMEs grow — particularly through the application of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence,” he added.

With the theme “Unlocking Innovation, Empowering the Future with AI,” InaRI Expo 2025 fostered collaboration among researchers, industries, and research funding institutions. BPDP viewed this as a strategic moment to reinforce cross-sector synergy.

“The AI theme introduced by BRIN is highly relevant. This technology can be applied to research and management of palm oil, cocoa, and coconut commodities while supporting SME digitalization,” Helmi explained.

BPDP’s participation in InaRI Expo 2025 underscores its ongoing commitment to advancing research, innovation, and local economic empowerment. Through integrated research collaboration, the agency aims to enhance the value-added potential of plantation commodities and boost Indonesia’s competitiveness in global markets. (P2)
